Updates, Praise and Prayer Requests:
- More and more Penelakut are opening up to Christians and what they believe. Regular interns have build close relationships and are having a major impact on the reserve as a whole and some individuals especially
- Changes in the school and band leadership have impacted R.O.O.T.S. activities - less "official" implementation
- R.O.O.T.S. is expending onto the Stz'uminus reserve, particularly the Stz'uminus Secondary School and the Adult Education Centre starting September 2013
- Addition to the R.O.O.T.S. team: Joe and Meredith Lopez (and there three kids) are just jumping through the hoops with NAIM and will start support raising soon. Hopefully it will not take them to long. Joe is Apache, Meredith Caucasian. Joe grew up in Los Angeles, Meredith on reserve in Alaska.
- Christina has volunteered regularly in the Penelakut Island Elementary School
- Friends have given us funds to purchase an old boat - now we can access Penelakut a lot easier and quicker and use the boat to extend the R.O.O.T.S. program
